Creamy Chicken & Orzo Pasta

Need something quick that doesn’t skimp out on flavor! Here is your dish. A one pot dish that is ready in 30 minutes or less that your husband AND children will love. It also has room for so many variations.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Chicken Breast

  • 2 minced garlic cloves (or however many your heart tells you that day)

  • 2 Cups Chicken Stock or Bone Broth

  • 1 Cup Orzo

  • 1 Cup Shredded Parmesan

  • 1 Cup Half/Half or Heavy Cream

  • ~ 5 oz Diced Sun Dried Tomatoes (in oil)

Instructions:

  • Dice chicken and cook in a heavy pot with garlic pepper and salt. Your favorite seasoning for chicken is perfect.

  • Remove from pot and add your minced garlic. Cook briefly, without burning, before adding chicken stock.

  • Get your chicken stock to a boil and then add your orzo.

  • once the orzo soaks most of the liquid, add in your cheese and dairy.

  • Mix well then fold in the chickens and tomatoes.

There is is! It’s that easy! I do like to sprinkle a little red pepper flakes and extra parmesan cheese on the top.

*Some other variations could be to add:

  • Mushroom

  • Zucchini

  • Brocolli
